Day 5,6,7 March 2018

We had a lovely relaxing few days in Ft. Myers. The weather was cool and beautiful. We enjoyed some wonderful lunches and dinners out. My sweet sister Chris came in for a visit to cruise with us for a while. 😀

We were docked in the most beautiful spot right on the Caloosahatchee River. Amazing sunsets every night. Spectacular river views the whole time.

On the morning we were to leave, this was what we awoke to. What a morning!

Here we are passing through the marina headed out into the river.

It’s a bit shallow through here.... and a very narrow channel. We’re closely watching our markers!!

Here we are at anchor for the night. We enjoyed a very comfortable 5 hour cruise today. Our anchorage is just past Useppa Island.

We are almost completely alone. So far. We’ll see who rolls in later this afternoon. These two are quite far away and the only others in sight.

So, the two boats in the picture above rolled out late afternoon and we were joined by a sailboat instead.

It was a peaceful night at anchor. We indulged in a yummy rack of lamb for dinner and we enjoyed lots of lovely rocking to lull us all to sleep.
