While off to Sarasota, this time we got to go under that cool Tampa Bay Bridge. No worries about getting under this 65-footer. There’s practically no one out here in Tampa Bay so far. It’s calm and beautiful. What a day!
We passed under the Anna Maria island Bridge and Cortez bridge as we did coming through a few days ago. Both had timed openings so there was a wait time in between. Ho hum..... at least there is lots of room to hover and plenty of depth.
The section passing “Longboat Pass” was so pretty and peaceful.
Here we are crossing Sarasota bay. Perfect conditions to just chill.
And enjoy watching some sailing...
Here we enter the approach into Marina Jack’s in Sarasota. Gotta go finish prepping fenders and lines....
Here the “Le Barge” tropical cruise boat passed right by a few times each day doing its “thing”. Those looked like real palm trees. No plastic ones here like in so many other places.
Saturday morning we ventured out walking and discovered a farmers market and St. Patrick’s Day block party right off the bay front. It was so cool.
We stopped and had lunch at an adorable farm to table spot named Boca. I stole this picture from yelp because I stupidly didn’t take any of my own.
We had a lovely couple of days in Sarasota. Marina Jack’s is indeed among the best marinas in FL. We are so glad we finally had the chance to stop in.
Here is what we saw all around us in our slip.
