Daytona to Cocoa Village

After our light parade entertainment, we enjoyed a crisp clear beautiful night.

The plan the next morning was to be out very early. We were up at 5:45 and awaited first light to get moving. It was so quiet and peaceful.

A short while later, I'm not sure of the exact time, we felt we had enough light to get going. So, here we are on the move.... It's was a beautiful crisp cool, clear day and we had a full day ahead of us. The weather was expected to get very windy and unpleasant later in the day, so the morning was our best time to get a move-on. Our first chore was requesting an opening of a very short 15' bridge whose openings are "on demand" at 6:10 in the morning. We were very relieved when they answered our radio call and gave us a quick passage.

You can see what a beautiful day it was.

We had some company at the bow...

And on the beam....

We spent a rough night in Cocoa Village. Once the wind picked up it really howled. It blew huge waves right at our stern. We were really rocked hard all night long.  We were glad we were on the way home where the water is always quiet and calm.
