While in Key West

If you have never been to Key West, let me tell you... it is a very interesting place and lots of fun. These are the wacky things you see....

On this afternoon a couple of fisherman were cleaning their catch and tossed out the scraps to a group of very aggresssive and hungry sea birds. These bad boys and girls were fighting with eachother something awful. This area is called the "Harbor Walk" and is a boardwalk of sorts that runs all the way around the marina area from end to end.

We spent lots of our evenings enjoying dinners out all over Key West. We had some wonderful meals and met some nice people as well. On this evening we decided to head out later than usual and just explore all the nighttime establishments we could. One of our stops was the famous "Sloppy Joe's" which is a raucous place filled with people day and night.... The guy on the stage was both comedic and musical. One of his silly songs went on about (paraphrasing) if you're under 55 you are a youngin' and maybe one of his daughters.... he was really popular and genuinely funny.

This was a place called The Bull & Whistle bar, The Bull downstairs and the Whistle upstairs with a New Orleans style blacony over Duval Street. We decided that Key West is THE place where old rockers go to die.

At the Bull bar we kind of thought the bottom part of this sign a little funny. A little off color but we had to chuckle.

Of course we were gratified to learn that Darth Vader has a hobby.

As does Spiderman....

Then we discovered "Margaritaville". We went in thinking we were a couple of dorks doing the Buffet thing but really the band in here was very good so we stayed a while and had some yummy chicken wings at the bar.

Of course they have a souvenir store...

And this was the band....
