Miami to Fort Lauderdale

Because the girls were with us, we took pity on them. We left this morning much later than ususal- 10am. A much more civilized hour for twenty-somethings. (wimps!)

There were one or two rogue dark clouds overhead, but they were really not especially threatening. We pushed on ahead. If it rained a few minutes, we knew it would pass quickly enough. That is what we have a pilothouse for.

As it turned out, we only got a few pasing drops and that was it.

Our journey into Fort Lauderdale this day took us back to the ICW. We were done with off-shore Atlantic for this season. So, that meant....bridges - lots of bridges today. Some right next to one another, as you see here.

More tall South Florida architecture....

And more bridges....

At the end of the day, we pulled into the Bahia Mar Marina in Fort Lauderdale. It is the same marina we stopped at last season, but this time we were docked on the opposite side of the complex. It is perfectly situated adjacent to the bars and restaurants and right across from the beach.

We stayed here for another few days before we moved on once again....

I have to day I am sorry here. I could have sworn I took at least a few pictures at Bahia Mar, but I can't find them anywhere. I don't know what happened. Also, by the way..... I DO know absolutely that I had taken some pictures of Amy and Kathleen but I was told that they didnt like the pictures so they deleted them on me......
