While at Jensen Beach / Stuart

For the last month or so we have been enjoying some quiet time in the Stuart area. We had the boat pulled for a few days to paint the bottom. Check it out:

Here Bruce is pulling into the lift bay:

Here they're getting the straps properly aligned:

...lifting up above the waterline...

...high enough to start driving away....

...moving out into the working area....

...and finally being cradled for a couple of days to do the painting and other sundries to the hull...

During this time, alas, we were homeless for a couple of days. So, what could we do? No Hampden Inn for us! Nossiree.... we booked ourselves into the Marriott Resort out on Hutchinson Island for a few days. Bruce got to play golf a couple of times and Sue got some time out at the pool. Nice! Being homeless is not a bad gig.....

A few weeks pass, nearly a month in all. We had various items taken care of. Some were standard maintenance items we have to do once a year and others were simple warranty items that are inevitable on a new vessel that is breaking in.

While we were there, we had a wonderful time getting to know some of our marina-mates. Right next to us were Ed and Cindy aboard "Ka-Dee-Anna" which is a stunning new 52' Krogen that they were commissioning. We had such fun with them! And just a couple of slips down were Gabe and Gail aboard the beautiful new Krogen 44 AE "Sea Wolf". We had yet more fun getting into trouble with them. Accross the marina fairway, we enjoyed the occasional company of Dennis and Julie Fox who are long time Krogenites of the famous kind and are now cruising on a beautiful Ocean Alexander. We enjoyed attending a couple of Krogen Breakfasts on Tuesday mornings and met SO many people, and reaquainted ourselves with others we had metonce or twice before. We really had ourselves great fun.

But, the itching started...it was time to move on. The work was all done and it was time to move SOUTH! Bye, Bye marina friends. We will see you again soon.
