We awoke to a very windy morning, which we knew was coming. It clocked in at least 20 knots from the N/NE. But we were undeterred. It was otherwise a lovely day so off we went. The wind was actually set in the perfect direction to push us directly off the long face dock at Fernandina - a nice bonus because the way in which they pack the boats so closely to one another on that dock it can be very tricky to get out. Not today....
THis is how windy and wavy it was..... this was inland on a relatively protected section of the ICW.
Along the way, at Sisters Creek Bridge, we ran across a large coast guard cutter, cool.
