We're back, finally! And almost ready to start moving again

Finally, the time had come for us to get on a little plane and get back to our beautiful boat!! We arrived last week and have been busy little bees cleaning, testing and maintaining. We had to get all the furniture back out, get the cushions and bimini back on, and make all the "comfort" parts and pieces of life aboard a boat functional again.

Here she is and looking mighty fine to me.....

Wheelhouse Technologies, our maintenance program, prompted us to complete a list of about 100 plus technical items that needed actual replacement, attention, or simple inspection. That alone has been a full time job for a number of days. After 6 months of no exterior cleaning, boy did we have to do a lot of that! The person who took care of the boat while we were gone did an absolutely magnificent job. The inside was unhampered by the Georgian summer heat and humidity. She was perfect!

We had a rental car for a while so we had no problem procuring all the supplies we needed for any and all jobs. We have provisioned ourselves with a full fridge, pantry and freezer. So, the plan as it stands right now, is to be off Wednesday morning to Fernandina Beach.

However.....boy are we glad we chose Wednesday to leave. Today (monday) has been crazy windy. The conditions have been sustained winds of 25knots, with gusts to 50 knots. The seas have been apparently at 10feet plus. One person told us the "sound" nearby had 9foot waves. No thank you!

Apparently, tomorrow is supposed to calm just slightly...we'll see. We are not going anywhere until things calm down. If that means adjusting our approximate plan, then so be it....

I'll let you know.....
