Day 28 - Last Day - Cape May, NJ to "Home" - Longport, NJ

We awaken today to a beautiful morning which we gladly share with our friends from Ocean City, Chris and Laura. They enjoyed a nice evening with us in Cape May on the last night of our first big Silver Bay adventure and are joining us on our last leg home. We feel a bit melancholy to see our first journey come to an end, but are happy to be heading back "home' once again. The day is expected to deliver calm seas and lovely moderate temps in the mid 80s. Perfect! We take an ocean run today past all the barrier islands including our home in Ocean City and then into Longport which is where our "home" marina resides.

Here is a shot of Ocean City as we make our way north..... with a very precocious kayaker welcoming us.

And another shot of how Ocean City looks as close as we could get.......

See that bright white house just right of center with the 2 triangular peaks? That's our house! (At least the left half of it is).

Here we are coming in to Seaview Harbour Marina, our home marina..... where we were pleasantly surprised by a "welcoming committe" of our dear friends, Debbie an Al. What a wonderful surprise it was to see them cheering us on to "home". Thanks, you guys- it was so awesome to see you!

And, last but not least, this is what we see from our deck every morning, noon and night..... SWEET! We are home once again.....

A last message to one and all..... (for now)....

Our first journey on our beloved Silver Bay has been an amazing adventure. It has also been our distinct pleasure sharing it with you all. We learned more about boating and, indeed, life itself than we ever thought possible. We now look forward with great anticipation to our next adventure in the fall. We will spend some time on our beautiful new boat this summer from "home" but will wait until fall to take another big trip heading toward sothern climes. Where you may ask? Who knows! At this point, we have no clue. We have dreams and ideas, nothing concrete. We have some time to imagine and plan. Until then, be well and may all of you out there experience calm seas and be lucky and bold enough to see your dreams come true!

Our very best to all,

Bruce and Sue
