Day 27 - Delaware Bay to Cape May, NJ

After all that we experienced last evening, it was, thankfully, an uneventful overnight. No electricity on shore even by morning... but we didn't care. We were off on our next day's adventure. Thank you Summit North, we are off to Cape May!

The morning dawns to a new day. Fresh clean, cooler air. And, clearing skies....

I know you are probably bored with looking at commerical boat traffic, but this one I just HAD to record. "SKS" just happen to be my initials so I thought it looked pretty cool to see them on such a large object....

Most of our morning we spen on the Delaware Bay. yuk! It is not a pretty place. Nothing to see, it is somewhat industrail and unattractive. The Salem power plant.....  (yuk)....

Even the aids to navigation are more "industrial" looking....

then they start to become more attractive.....

We discovered what we assume is fishing "mecca". There must be 50-75 boats out there..... (sorry, this is the best picture I could get. Where they are is way off the channel where it is more shallow)

We have a lovely day navigating Delaware Bay until...................... Hold on! Stop! Now's the time.... All together now, sing along if you like.... "One the way to Cape May, I fell in love with you.... One the way to Cape May........"

So, here is the entrance to the Cape May Canal with the Cape May-Lewes ferry.... Also, see how beautiful the day has become? it's just wonderful out... of course that does not include the flies that are everywhere.... they are definitely NOT welcome!

And some of the pretty homes in Cape May...

And, finally, our approach into Utsch's marina where we will stop over before our final trek into HOME! It is a HUGE marina......
