Savannah to Kilkenny Creek, GA

We started the day leaving our poor kids at the dock around 7am. Sorry, guys. They had a flight out around midday so were going to wander around Savannah until they got a taxi to the airport. We had to get going. We had to time our arrival into Kilkenny Creek for the high tide, it is shallow in the area. Amy took this cool picture as we pulled away.... it is a beautiful day.

We started the day approaching the Causton Bluff Bridge. This is not a tall bridge, the ruler read 23' which meant that if we lowered our antennae we could slide right underneath. Indeed we did.

We saw some lovely Savannah waterfront homes....

We passed under a couple more bridges, all without any problems. We waved hello to the famous "Moon River" which we first saw last spring...

We traversed a lovely place called "Skidway Narrows", and, yes, it was narrow..... We were glad to have the extra high water level. And also a place called "Hell Gate", you guessed it....aptly named.....

Once we arrived in Kilkenny Creek, we had a  lovely and quiet evening. It is indeed a beautiful place.
