Kilkenny Creek to Brunswick, GA

The new day brought a beautiful sunrise.  We experienced ice on the decks for the first time. Though we are grateful that it is sunny and clear, doesn't anyone know we are trying to move SOUTH where it is supposed to be warmer?  Something is definitely wrong with the weather around here.....

Our plan today was to go off-shore (what we call an ocean run). The seas were supposed to be less than 1' and winds less than 5knots. That sounded perfect to us and, indeed, it was just perfect. The ocean run saved us at least 1 1/2 hours in travel time. And it was dead calm the entire time.

The only company we had was a few shrimpers....

And our friends on "Bagheera" with whom we have been travelling a few days now. The have a stunning boat, a Grand Alaskan....

We passed the St Simon's lighthouse:

And St. Simons, GA:

And Jekyll Island, which I have decided is a beautiful island I'd love to explore someday.

We passed under this lovely bridge, the "Sidney Lanier Bridge", all of 135 feet high.

As we make the turn into Brunswick, we see some rather large company at a dock just before our marina.

As we relaxed and enjoyed a nice evening in Brunswick, I grabbed this shot of the sunset on our first night...

We walked around Brunswick a bit. Here you see the City Hall.... Brunswick is a very quaint town, but I would hardly call it a "city", maybe they should rename it the "small town hall"....

And, finally, the even better sunset on our second night in Brunswick....
