Today we actually slept in a little and missed sunrise. yeah!
It's another perfect day, supposed to warm up to 72deg by afternoon. We finish crossing the Neuse River and into Adams Creek.
We pass a large group of Shrimp boats all docked in, we're assuming taking the day off....
Here we pass a barge coming the other direction. It looks rather close in this picture but it is actually farther away than it appears. It is a narrow channel.
Sections of the creek are really pretty with the most unusual trees...
Today has been a very short day, only 22 miles. But it is way too far for us to comfortably move on to the next stopover, besides we have some visiting planned while we are in Beaufort. Bruce's cousin and her family live here and we plan to spend a little time with them. ALso, Beaufort is a sweet little town that we really enjoyed last spring.
Here we are coming in to the Beaufort Docks.
While we were getting settled in, we were greeted by a small pod of dolphins. These were not too shy to allow me to take their picture. Finally!
